A story of growth and investment in Italy
The story of JTI in Italy started in 2000, when JT International Italia was set up. At the time of this establishment, JTI Italia employed a total of 26 people and JTI products had a 3% market share.
Today, JTI Italia is an important business for Italy. With offices in Milan and Rome, it distributes JTI products throughout the country, with 113 employees plus 163 field representatives from all over Italy (May 2022 figures). With a market share of 26.9%, today JTI holds the second place of the Italian tobacco market (May 2022; source: Logista Italia S.p.A., distributor of JTI products in the Italian territory).
For years at the forefront in supporting Italian economy and its cultural, social and environmental heritage.
JTI has always been committed to contributing to the Italian community, with support for the economy, social fabric and culture of our Country. For more than 10 years, JTI has in fact actively supported Italian tobacco farming through the purchase of Virginia Bright tobacco leaves and the employment of over 1,700 workers in the cultivation, harvesting and primary processing of the tobacco crop.
JTI also supports organisations active in causes ranging from charity to environmental protection.
